About the town

Nagyatád is a pleasant, extremely tidy, calm, quiet town, located in the southwestern region of Hungary, in the southern part of Inner Somogy, 60 kilometers from Lake Balaton, near the Croatian border.

Nagyatád can rightly be called the “city of parks, statues and baths”. The pride of the town is the Thermal and Medical Bath, built at the beginning of the 20th century, which has one of the best-effect certified medicinal waters in the country, and whose water is suitable for both bathing and drinking cures. The facility is located in the middle of the Széchenyi Park, which is spread out in the heart of the city, and consists of horse chestnut trees, evergreens, waterfalls and promenades.
